ONTARIO GOLD

LOW POLITICAL RISK

Ontario is a mineral-rich mine-friendly jurisdiction with low political risk, especially compared to foreign jurisdictions where resurgent populism and protest have slowed mine exploration and development.

FOREIGN INVESTORS WELCOME

Foreign investors, notably Australian, whose capital markets have been more friendly to mining finance, have taken notice and are steadily increasing their presence. Ontario is under pressure to match BC and Quebec Provincial tax incentives. The Province is also working to streamline environmental approvals for new mine projects.

PARTNERSHIPS

Whitefish believes working partnerships with First Nation and local Northern communities are the wave of the future. The new Ontario government is actively promoting partnerships and joint ventures with First Nations and local Northern communities.

PERMITTING

Ontario mines undergo a thorough process of environmental review and consultation with local communities, a process that Whitefish has followed from its inception. The Company is confident it can meet or surpass highest standards for best practices, which reflect increasing concern over sustainability, cultural integrity and carbon neutrality.

PROPOSED ATIKAMEG JV

Maun is located in a zone of indigenous traditional interest, near Aroland Aniswaabe First Nations. WFE has proposed a joint venture for a large block of claims next door to its core claims in Maun currently under Ontario Cabinet control as a “special situation”. (see Atikameg JV). Aroland has itself pioneered new types
of partnerships.

STATUS OF LOCAL MINES

To the south of Maun on the outskirts of Geraldton, the Greenstone JV (Centerra and Premier), has received environmental approval and is taking the final steps toward construction. WFE’s Hardrock claims are immediately adjacent to this project. A large claim assembly to the east controlled by the Malouf family is another area of interest.

The Company’s properties in the heart of Birch-Uchi are less than 30km from one of Ontario’s largest new mine projects, First Mining Gold’s Springpole Lake. The success of Great Bear, about 60km to the west, has made Birch-Uchi a leading new gold area

FIBRE

Whitefish is committed to local development. As Maun claims are heavily forested. The tree farm licenses are held by First Nations businessmen based in Long Lac. Two of WFE’s principals have an investment in a new technology that converts fibre to diesel oil. This may be an opportunity that merits work.

LASSONDE CURVE

After almost five years, WFE has two new undrilled early-stage gold discoveries and a third “near-mine” property adjoining the newly permitted Premier-Centerra JV. Whitefish is poised for resource definition and expansion at the inflection point of the first stage of the famous Lassonde Curve, the most lucrative stage for risk-tolerant investors.

MAJOR BRECCIA STUDY

Troilus Gold is conducting a major academic study of the former Inmet copper-gold pit near Chibougamou with Laval and Western Universities. Maun breccias are similar so it should have relevance to Maun Lake.
